1h 20m + short film & Q&A
The 2026 London Australian Film Festival draws to a close with the UK Premiere of ALPHABET LANE, the wonderful debut feature from writer-director James Litchfield, this year’s winner of LAFF’s Cris Jones Debut Director Prize.
This darkly funny thriller follows Anna and Jack, a young couple who's recent move to the country is not meeting expectation.
“Alphabet Lane blends genres as well as emotional registers, always with a gentle twang – sometimes quietly uplifting, sometimes quietly unsettling, and always with an undercurrent of melancholy.” - Luke Buckmaster, The Guardian

AFTRS SHORT FILMS
various times throughout the festival
Finsbury Park Picturehouse
The London Australian Film Festival is proud to support emerging film talent by partnering with the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), located in Sydney, and screen a selection of their student short films before our programme of feature films.
This year's films are still TBC - it's always a tough process of selecting as the AFTRS students are so talented!
