Survival of Kindness
The London Australian Film Society and the Foundation for Australian and New Zealand Arts (FANZA) present the 2nd annual ANZ Film Festival at Finsbury Park Picturehouse, on the weekend between Australia Day and Waitangi Day.

In the powerful and moving drama PIKE RIVER, two bereaved women - brilliantly played by Melanie Lynsky (Heavenly Creatures, The Last of Us) and Robyn Malcolm (Shortland Street, Upper Middle Bogan) - embark on a quest for justice in the aftermath of the New Zealand’s Pike River Mine disaster, which took the lives of 29 miners.

Stacked with powerful performances, this sensitive, gut-wrenching and important film traces the long battle for justice waged by Anna Osborne, Sonya Rockhouse and the families of the victims. As human perseverance triumphs over political indifference, corporate failures and broken promises, this is a genuine must see!

Australian and New Zealand snacks, sweets & gifts will be on sale, and a raffle will take place before the screening.

With thanks to Signature Entertainment.

REVIEWS
“Portraying two extraordinary women, Malcolm and Lynskey deliver performances of equal extraordinariness…Performances that tear your heart out of your chest are rare—and to witness two such performances in one film is a privilege beyond words.”
