As part of its David Gulpilil retrospective, the London Australian Film Festival presents the second feature in Ivan Sen’s MYSTERY ROAD franchise.
A small, but deeply resonant part sees Gulpilil play opposite both fellow Yolŋu performer Tom E. Lewis (THE CHANT OF JIMMIE BLACKSMITH) and Arrernte/Arabana actor Aaron Pedersen, who has played embattled detective Jay Swan on both big and small screen. When Swan arrives in town to search for a missing person, he uncovers a web of crime and corruption linking the mayor, mining companies, and local Aboriginal elders.
