THE WRAP UP

The OZ Film Festival proudly presented the UK premiere of Breath on October 19 at The Regent Street Cinema.

A very warm thank you to all who attended, we had a record 70% non Australian turn out for this one!
The festival is entirely self funding so a huge thank you to our generous sponsors for the welcome drinks & our raffle prizes, these donations are so important to us and we thank all three publishers enormously.

ABOUT BREATH

Simon Baker brings to life Tim Winton’s bestselling novel for his directorial debut with this stunning coming-of-age story set on the wild coast of Western Australia.

Two very different boys on the brink of adolescence bond over their new-found love of surfing. When they meet an enigmatic older surfer and his beautiful but damaged girlfriend, they are taken under his wing and challenged in ways that will set their paths for the rest of their lives.

With spectacular cinematography and powerful performances from Simon Baker (The Mentalist, Devil Wears Prada), Elizabeth Debicki (The Night Manager, The Kettering Incident) and newcomers Samson Coulter and Ben Spence, this is a film made for the big screen and London’s first chance to see it in its full glory.

BREATH premiered in September 2017 to wide acclaim at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival.

If you weren't lucky enough to get a ticket to this year's OZ Film Festival opening night gala, and missed out on your free copy of the magnificent novel by Tim Winton (with thanks to Picador Books) you can read more about it here
